Kindness from customers
Our very lovely customers, Octopus Energy, left a kind note of appreciation for our cleaning team, Maria and Sian. They also left them gifts of flowers, chocolates and biscuits.
Octopus had had a bit of a party, and it was a little bit messy. Our team sorted it all out, and left things clean and tidy for them.
It is always greatly appreciated when notes of thanks are left for the hard working cleaning teams. The treats are a generous sign of customer appreciation, and I know it means a lot to Maria, Sian and the supervising team.
The note read:
To Maria and Sian,
We are very sorry for the mess we left a few weeks ago. We appreciate everything you do to keep our office space clean and tidy, and will tidy up after ourselves better next time.
Please accept these treats to say sorry.
From everyone at Octopus xxxx
Thank you for your kindness Octopus Energy!

SafeContractor accreditation
Green Mop has achieved SafeContractor accreditation.
We already have ISO45001 certification, which is similar. This meant it was straightforward to evidence our commitment to the health and safety of our staff and customers in order to achieve this extra accreditation.
Some of our clients recognise the SafeContractor process, others the ISO ones.
We’re happy to demonstrate our commitment to safety in whatever form our clients require!

Green Mop team development
We have promoted two of our Supervisors to be Assistant Managers. Congratulations to Brenda and Silviyia!
They have both been going above and beyond in recent months, and their new job title reflects the work they have been doing for us. They have taken on varied responsibilities and demonstrated a commitment and flexibility in support of our customers and Cleaning Team staff.
Silviyia supports staff out on customer sites each evening, as well as helping Olga in the office during the day with administration.
Brenda works with the morning teams, as well as taking responsibility for logistics of products and equipment.
They both have really varied roles, and they’ve taken on responsibility and are a huge benefit to our team.
Our Supervisors, Assistant Supervisors and Cleaning Team members all work incredibly hard day after day. They’re all fantastic!

Improved quality reporting
We have always provided regular quality check reports for all standard cleaning services. With our new Green Mop smartphone app, the reporting capability is much improved. And the reports seem to be more appreciated by customers in the current climate.
They are useful for office managers working remotely. Regular reports as wells as deep cleaning and sanitising service reports done by on site team can be sent directly to the customers. We have all reports available for our management team to review in the dashboard of our system.
These reports give our customers confidence that our services have been provided to the required standard, as well as for risk assessing and evidence of cleaning regimes in place.

Re-opening after extended closure?
Many of our customers have kept their offices and workplaces open during the recent lockdowns. Some have remained closed throughout. With schools now open, and the new roadmap for opening up published, some will be working on their detailed plans for a safe return to workplaces.
There is a lot to consider, and we work in partnership with our customers to help make a safe return as smooth as possible. We have developed our safe processes and procedures over the past 12 months, and can work with confidence to reassure and assist in any way that we can.
We can help you with:
- risk assessments
- Covid-safe working environments for our staff and yours
- pre-return deep clean with report upon completion
- detailed cleaning plans for regular cleaning procedures
- regular quality check reports
- hand hygiene products
- emergency Covid cleaning when necessary with report upon completion
Get in touch for more details and advice. We’re here to help and can offer guidance if you need our support.

Touch point contamination protection
We can now supply these fantastic products to stick to your door push plates, pull bars, and door handles to help keep your premises Covid safe. They work in conjunction with a robust cleaning plan to maintain their effectiveness. They don’t replace the need for regular touch point cleaning, but they do help reduce contamination.
The antimicrobial products use Silver Ion (Ag) technology, which drastically reduces the spread of bacteria.
Silver Ions (Ag) are efficient at inactivating microbes. The Silver technology targets microorganisms that kill or reduce the spread of bacteria, fungi and enveloped viruses. It works by breaking down their biological make-up in order to stop the spread and reproduction of dangerous pathogens. Kills up to 99.99% of common bacteria and superbugs as well as being effective against Coronavirus.

Staff update for Lockdown 3
During this third lockdown, Green Mop is continuing to provide our vital service to customers that need us.
Where offices might be closed and you might lose hours, we’ll continue to use the Government Furlough Scheme (subject the the Government rules). You may be offered other work, so please keep an eye on communication from the office or your Supervisors.
When working alone, please continue to maintain excellent hand hygiene, wear your mask, and keep your distance from anyone who maybe on site at the same time as you.
Where staff are working in a team, please maintain your distance from each other. Only go to the cleaning cupboard one at a time, and work in separate areas.
The work we do has never been more important. It’s vital that we carry on performing to our usual high standard to keep our customers buildings clean and safe.
Take care.

Covid cleans
It’s interesting that we have seen many more Covid cases occur in our customer premises recently.
As lockdown 2 got underway, many offices have remained open. They are far from fully staffed, but they are providing the office environment for those that struggle to work from home. Not everyone has a desk and space and broadband sufficient to deal with a working day.
However, this has meant that infectious people have been in the workplaces.
After a positive case, our customers can call on us to urgently schedule our Covid Clean Procedure. We have prepared Covid Kits ready to send to the affected sites. These contain the necessary products and PPE for manual disinfectant cleaning. This is backed up with a disinfectant fogging service to ensure every surface is made safe.
Our customers can return to their premises with confidence.
