Coronavirus – importance of hygiene

Coronavirus is in our local area, and people are rightly nervous about the spread of germs.

While the risk to the UK population remains low, taking precautionary measures to limit the potential spread of infection is important. Prevention, control, and stepping up usual good hygiene practices is key.

We are taking actions in order to help customers maintain a clean and healthy work environment. Our normal cleaning practices include cleaning touch points and sanitising phones and desks. We will be switching from our usual cleaning product to a specialist sanitising product.

We’re also reminding our cleaning staff of the critical importance of hand hygiene. They have to use gloves when cleaning anyway, but we’re asking them to change them regularly and dispose of them. And to wash and sanitise their hands in between glove changes.
